Introducing NeuroSynchrony Health´s Summer Intern!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Sophia Schwartzman, and I’m a rising senior at the University of Arizona, where I’m double majoring in Pre-Law and Psychology. I’m originally from Rye, New York, and this summer I’ve had the incredible opportunity to intern at NeuroSynchrony Health in Greenwich, CT.

I’ve been working closely with Gregg Pauletti and Dr. Helane on a variety of projects from patient support and networking to observing and assisting with TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) treatment. Before starting this internship, I had never heard of TMS, so learning about this treatment has been eye-opening, especially seeing how NeuroSynchrony´s EEG-guided TMS protocols are helping people in such profound ways. Watching patients improve has been one of the most rewarding parts of this experience.

What makes this internship so special is how it bridges my interest in mental health with real-world neuroscience and brain-based treatment. It’s one thing to study psychology in the classroom, but it's another to witness how technology can support people beyond traditional talk therapy or medication. It’s truly changed how I think about mental healthcare.

Outside of school and work, I’m passionate about mental health advocacy and plan to pursue a career where I can merge my interests in law and psychology! Interning at NeuroSynchrony has given me new insight into what that path could look like.

Continue to follow along with my journey as I learn more! I am so excited to be here and can’t wait to see what else this summer brings!
